More Than a Race

The Wine Half Marathon – Napa Edition is designed as a full sensory experience that blends movement, landscape, and celebration.

From private vineyard roads to festive on-course moments and a joyful finish-line gathering, every element is crafted to reflect the spirit of Napa Valley. This is a race where runners are guests — welcomed into vineyard spaces typically reserved for winemaking — and encouraged to slow down just enough to take it all in. Whether you’re running, cheering, or celebrating afterward, the experience extends far beyond the miles.

Private Vineyard Access

Runners will experience Napa Valley in a truly unique way — running through private vineyard roads and winery properties not typically open to the public.

These quiet, scenic routes offer uninterrupted views of vines, rolling hills, and working wine estates, creating a rare and intimate connection with the landscape. This access transforms the race into something special: a chance to experience Napa from the inside, on foot, alongside fellow runners and wine lovers.

On-Course Experiences

Along the course, participating wineries bring the route to life with festive, high-energy aid stations.

Music, cheering teams, and creative touches turn each stop into a moment of encouragement and joy, keeping runners energized and smiling from start to finish. These experiences are designed to celebrate community and hospitality — Napa-style — making every mile feel like part of the celebration.

Inspired by Marathon du Médoc

The Wine Half Marathon draws inspiration from the legendary Marathon du Médoc in France — a race known worldwide for its joyful blend of running, wine, costumes, and celebration.

While the Napa edition is thoughtfully reimagined with a California sensibility and a half-marathon format, it carries the same core philosophy: running should be fun, communal, and deeply connected to place.
